On April 6th, 2021, RTFKT officially partnered with NZXT, a leading provider of high-performance computer hardware, to launch a collaborative Creator Challenge. This initiative invited the RTFKT community to showcase their talents by designing a reimagined RTFKT x NZXT digital sneaker.
The challenge ran from April 6th, 2021 to April 27th, 2021 and offered exciting rewards for the top three entries. The first-place winner received a custom-designed NZXT Creator PC, featuring a case designed by the winner themselves. Additionally, RTFKT minted the winning sneaker design into a digital collectible, adding it to the RTFKT Creators collection. The second-place winner received a valuable hardware bundle including an NZXT H1 case, cooler, and power supply unit combo. The third-place winner walked away with a prestigious NZXT Kraken Z53 liquid cooler.
The RTFKT x NZXT Creator Challenge garnered significant interest within the community, as evidenced by the high-quality submissions received. The winners were:
NZXT was particularly impressed by Marconi's Stormrider design, opting to mint it as a NFT alongside the winning entry.
On May 28th, 2021, the two official RTFKT x NZXT sneaker NFTs, "RTFKTORY" and "Stormrider," were minted and offered for sale on the Rarible marketplace. Both editions had a limited supply of 10 units each (20 in total) and were priced at 0.1 ETH (Ethereum) per NFT.
